At home

For the past few day I have been down with bronchitis. The x-ray image showed my right lung slightly shaded, and that was taken about three months back. Doctors, they cannot be blamed. It is subjective. Now just wait, and heal.

Father Anthony came over to my place for a visit on Monday, it was quite a nice time having him around. Over dinner, he related a thought-provoking story...

"Legend has it that a group of scientists wanted to carry out an experiment to see what kind of language a child would pick up if he/she was left alone without contact with anyone. They did this on ten kids from different places. The kids were held captive in a room together with all the proper nutritious food, and their health was ensured. But no one was allowed to communicate in any way to them. So this went on, and on. The children were fed well and lived together in their small community."

The most logical reasoning for a child to pick up a language is due to the environment he/she is put in. For instance, if a family speaks English, the child will pick up English.

What happened to them then? What language did they pick up eventually?

You know what?

They all died.

There was no love shown to them.
