Then the Matador. Carrying this gun and lifting it up with both hands over your head repeatedly for punishment is really no joke. I wonder how Rambo carried 2 of these each on his 2 hands. After that, we proceeded to the tables for a briefing about the term of service in OCS. At first, small fry with the jockey cap, the lanyard and the infamous yellow tags- guard duties etc. Four new appointments come in, and cadets are selected according to their performance. Learnt that Sergeant Major does all the "sai-gang" for everyone. and more stipes means..MORE "sai-gang" for the Sergeant Major. I didn't manage to take all the stuff there though, especially the Sword of Honour. It has your name engraved on it too if you complete OCS. Really cool. I had a go on the GPMG too and it was awesome! Shot 30 rounds in all and I simply love the recoil! Shiok sia. "Fire at will!" haha. See that black thing over there? That's a trip flare. When an infantry approaches... FLAME ON! SG!!! (Smoke Grenade). Fire in the hole! It seemed like CS, sure does reduce visibility. @.@ Inside the hall: Ah, here are the stuff inside the safety-kit. Some plasters, a fishing line, cutting line, spark igniter, wind-proof/water-proof match sticks, as well as the paper and pen...on which one writes their dying will. The officer said they don't usually use it. -don't usually- "The Womb"- symbolizing the 9 months in OCS. There will be only 2 times you walk through this path. To say the officer's creed at least 5 times a day. SAFTI tower comprising 265 steps which signify the term of OCS. I climbed the stairs of this tower! :D About 9 storeys. Now you see me, now you don't. Felicia, Jaslin and Joshua :D Looking from the top of the tower... We ended off the journey with some class photos. Officer Sir John with his colleague and T25. What an exhaustive day it was! But it was surely enjoyable :)
Alright man! This field trip is one that I will not forget. :) haha, some prelude to my future army days.
Okay fast-forward the school hours and the travelling time. T25 and T27 went on the same bus though.
We entered the bunks too and it was neat and dust-free.
The largest eating area: OCS Dining Hall
This is where they have their some sort of date-night or something where everyone MUST bring a date along no matter what. So here's the catch: If you don't have a girlfriend, then find a friend. If you don't have any girl-friends, find your sister. If your sister says "no", (okay, last resort, bo-bian) find your mum. :p
NFE time! NV lasts for 20 seconds only.
